Often a patient will contact us who is in desperate need of a transplant, usually a liver or lung. They will send us the information requested along with a deposit and that will be the last that we hear from them until a friend or relative will call letting us know that the patient died while "thinking" about moving ahead with the transplant. Time is not on your side when you need a transplant. If you wait and "think" about it, often the decision will be made for you. Life is too precious to waste and lose "thinking" about saving it.
